Excellent shoes!! I have chronic back issues and went to a running shoe store in town to have my step mapped a few years back. My step was normal/neutral, but I'm also flat-footed, and I have been extremely pleased with both the former and newer models of the shoes. They help my back pain and also accommodate my flat foot, while at the same time being much better than inferior shoes (Nike, etc). Great work on the part of Hoka One One!!! These have seriously been the best shoes I've ever had in my life!! The last pair I had (Clifton 2) even were perfectly held together until all the rubber of the soles was literally gone (a few years later)! I highly recommend these for anyone with a neutral step. So lightweight and comfortable, and at the same time incredibly durable!!! I'm loving the new pair so much that I'm ordering a second pair so that I'll have one for everyday use, and the other for the gym. The only changes I've noticed between the Clifton 2 and 4 seem to indicate that the 4, amazing, will be even better! This seller also shipped promptly and everything arrived as expected!I read the reviews and testimonials regarding Hoka One and was skeptical. So I went to the local sports stores and tried on the Hoka’s just get a feel for them. Considering that I’ve been suffering with a line of duty foot injury since 2007, resulting in 2 back to back foot fusions, it’s difficult to find a good running shoe that not only fits but allows me to perform with minimal pain. Due to this lack of comfort and functionality I haven’t been able to run the way I used to, averaging a 9 to 9.5 minute mile during runs. I shopped around and found Amazon had the best price for the Hoka style I was looking for. It was delivered a few days later and I couldn’t wait to try them on and give it a test drive. I was in for a surprise! I started out a little rough, not used to running with such a soft impact. It was like having sea legs for a while and the walking on land, a little uneven. After a quarter of a mile I got my bearings and clocked a 7.5 minute mile, I KID YOU NOT! There was little guarding of my injured foot, as I had with my other running shoes. My knees didn’t hurt after my previous runs. Most importantly my foot didn’t hurt!I love this shoe. I've been hooked on Hoka for the last 4 years. This shoe is a comfortable well fitting shoe. And it is true to fit sizing. The neutral arch and moderate cushion are all very well fitted to my foot. It is also extremely light. It is cushioned so running on the road is not as bad as it once was. I also am a nurse and use another pair to stand on my feet all day. They are spectacular. I wear a women's 10 but can wear a men's 8.5 they both fit equally well. I switch it up for color. Sometimes I like the women's colors better and sometimes the men's. I bought this shoe after a run in with plantar fasciitis and needed cushion. I haven't bought anything since. Highly recommend it. The only negative is that this company changes its shoes regularly. So if this Clifton 4 is great, the next Clifton generation may not be the same for fit and comfort. I purposely bought the 4 and not the 5 because I had experienced it one time before where one generation was not the same as the one before. But the return policy makes it easy to try it on and return if not happy. Good luck and happy running.I am a recent convert to Hoak One One shoes. I initially was introduced to them while training for a half marathon. I was training in less supportive shoes, and injured my calf. I went to a local running store to see if there was a shoe that would protect the minor calf injury and allow me to continue to prepare for the race. The sales staff recommended the Hoka One One Biondi 5. I bought it and loved it! It took the strain off my calves, and allowed the injury to heal. I've run two half marathons on that shoe. I just purchased this Hoka One One model, the Clifton 4 after reading the reviews. I've worn it for several runs, and I love it too! It's a bit lighter and firmer than the Biondi 5, and I think I prefer it better, now that my calves are not an issue. I'm now a Hoka One One runner for life! The seller was excellent. I received the shoes in the usual 2 day window, and they were shipped in perfect condition. These are probably the BEST running shoes I have ever owned! Excellent support and very lightweight. My arches are medium height and the arch support in this shoe is high, thus it took about a week for my feet/arches to adjust. Once they did, it was like walking on air. These shoes also hold up very well. I use them for work, which is 7 days a week because I'm a Personal Trainer, and I've been using them for over 4 months now, since Nov. 5, 2019 everyday, and they're still in excellent condition, with not much wear on the bottom, and maintaining all of the support like it was still brand new. When it's finally time for a new pair of shoes, I intend to purchase the exact same ones again.Ok i am a heavier person so i go through shoes quickly so i tried these hoping to stop that. They made it through a week at one of the largest wrestling tournaments in the country and then went overseas where i spent a good amount of time on my feet. They made it through both trips, I had been wearing Asics but they were only lasting one tournament so these lasting two are huge. They have a lot more wear left, but the high arch is killing my foot and usually I need that. This arch is just too high for me. I will try a different model next time because these shoes are made to last.Glad to see I could find an exact replacement for what I have been wearing. I am a bigger sized runner so they have been a good fit for me. Only 4 stars as the sole wears out faster than I would like (about 300 - 350 miles). Fortunately (or really unfortunately) for me I now only run about a third of what I used to on a yearly basis so I don't have to replace them that often as they are a bit pricey. They do have a nice cushion feel.I’ve been running for 5 years now and started off quite by accident in a pair of Nike Air Pegasus, which I loved and purchased a couple of pairs. Then without rhyme or reason Nike stopped making them in the style I liked. Well? Quite frankly I was gutted and really annoyed. So I had to find a replacement. I opted for a pair of ASICS which were ok and I learned to like them but never really loved them. Eventually they gave up the ghost and I was once again forced to find another pair. So I went to a running shop and picked up a pair of Saucony trainers and a pair of Hoka One Clifton 4’s. I ran 10 miles in the Saucony’s which were great, but then tried the Hoka’s.........and BOOM! That was it! I was right in the middle of training for a marathon and these were my new best friends. Within two weeks I purchased a second pair! I have a neutral gait and these trainers suited me down to a tea. They are so comfortable and super bouncy. They do have an unusual sole shape which does slightly alter how your foot comes into contact with the ground, but once you get used to this, I would argue that they are one of the best trainer on the market. Definitely get half a size bigger than your normal size to allow expansion of your foot on running. I have heard that people who bought the Clifton 3 did not like the 4 but I’ve never tried the 3’s. It will be a sad day for me if the 4’s are replaced. I ran the London marathon in my Clifton 4’s and I had no toe nail loss or any blisters worth speaking of! Awesome shoes! These shoes were not right for me.I loved Hoka Clifton 3 and thought these would give me the same level of support. The mid sole has changed and is very stiff and tight compared to the Hoka 3.I have given it my best for the month wearing them in but they are just not right. Why Hoka change on a good thing!! i will have to really re-think purchasing my next pair!so comfy!!! I bought these since being diagnosed with arthritis in my big toe (Hallux Rigidus) and they have considerably reduced the discomfort in walking / running. Would highly recommend to any fellow sufferers of big toe arthritis! As others have said incredible cushioning , if you have never had before there will be some adjustment time , I slightly over pronate and had to buy some insoles to compensate they are neutral (as advertised)Hoka is the best running shoe
